Roasted feijoa brushetta
Embrace the cooler Autumn evenings with this scrumptious desert
Ingredients:
4 slices brioche, wood fired or crusty bread
soft butter for spreading
1/4 cup caster sugar (super fine) or vanilla sugar
6-8 peeled sliced feijoas
Method:
Pre heat oven to 200 degrees
Line two trays with non stick baking paper
Spread both sides of bread with the butter and place on the prepared trays
Sprinkle each slice with half of the sugar top with sliced feijoa
Sprinkle remaining sugar on the feijoas
Bake until golden (approx 20 minutes)
Serve warm with your favourite ice cream or custard
For a twist, try different combinations of your favourite spice in the sugar, we recommend ginger or cinnamon.
