Choosing & storing Feijoas

We hand pick and grade our fruit before it leaves the orchard so that it reaches you in the best condition possible.

When choosing feijoas, look for firm, fruit with unblemished skin, which have been stored with care in a chiller.

Feijoas are perfect to eat when the jellied sections inside the feijoa are clear. If the jellied sections are brown or grey they are over ripe, and if white the will require 2-3 days in your fruit bowl to ripen.  If you manage to hold back from scoffing the lot on your way home feijoas will keep well when stored at 4 degrees, and are best placed in your fridge as soon as possible after purchase.
